The Berry Growers of Ontario (BGO) is a provincial organization, which represents blueberry, raspberry, strawberry growers, by funding industry promotion and research activities as well as educational events for our members. All facets of the berry industry (wholesale, retail, pick-your-own, and roadside market) are represented by the Berry Growers of Ontario. BGO is regulated under the Farm Products Marketing Act under Ontario Regulation 383/17.

Our membership is approximately 300 growers. The BGO works closely with Agribusiness that is associated with the berry industry. The current estimated farm gate value for fresh berries is in excess of $40,000,000.

The BGO has created this website to give berry lovers in Ontario helpful information on how to find and enjoy farm fresh Ontario Berries. The BGO also provides up-to-date information on the availability of Ontario berries as well as how to find Pick Your Own Berry Farms and Farm Markets in your area.

Fresh field grown Ontario Berries can be enjoyed from May until October. Your local growers are using new growing techniques to extend the season providing sweet fresh berries for 5 months of the year. New to Ontario is the availability of greenhouse grown strawberries providing local strawberries 12 months of the year. Greenhouse raspberries and blueberries could be next!

Quayle previously served as head of UK operations for Kindred Group, having joined the Unibet operator through its £175.6m (€201.9m/$226.4m) acquisition of 32Red.

He in turn joined 32Red following its 2006 acquisition of Betdirect, where he had worked since 2003.
