Until recently, because of murky US laws, no Vegas casino has wanted to risk the online market but at the end of 2009 we finally saw Caesars outsource their brand to launch online.
Nevada lawmakers signed AB 114 into law on Feb. 25, 2013. The law legalized online poker and authorized the issuance of online poker operator licenses in Nevada.
Nevada was the second state to legalize online poker, behind Delaware. In May 2013, Ultimate Poker was the first poker site to offer regulated real-money poker games online.
Can I play online casino games or just online poker?
Currently, online casino games are not legal in Nevada. Only online poker sites are licensed to operate in Nevada.
Will online casino games come to Nevada at some point?
It's highly likely Nevada online casino games will eventually join online poker sites in providing gambling entertainment to the residents of the Silver State.
In fact, the law that legalized and regulated online poker in the state also allows for casino gambling. It only requires authorization for Nevada lawmakers.
The Nevada Gaming Policy Committee has addressed the original concerns that online casino games might cannibalize existing land-based casino revenues. They reference the successful New Jersey casino market as an example.
The successful launch of online poker in the state complete with efficient and accurate geolocation software and stringent age verification processes ensures compliance with all state gaming laws.
Some opposition to online casino games in Nevada remains, but support is growing. Even so, several operators are waiting for the green light.

Yes. Players have been able to play for a WSOP gold bracelet through online events since 2017.

A hybrid format, combining online and in-person play, whittled down domestic and international fields until just one champion from each pool emerged. In 2018, New Jersey joined the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) with Nevada and Delaware, making players from that state eligible to compete for in gold bracelet events at WSOP.com
The 2021 schedule for the WSOP Online Circuit Series was announced in January. Players can compete to become eligible for the $250,000 WSOP Online Circuit Championship in December 2021. The championship will cap at 256 entrants.

The Mohegan Tribe, which owns and operated the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, is the first Native American tribe to be licensed to operate a Las Vegas casino. The tribe will operate the Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas when it opens January 15, 2021.
The new casino replaces the former Hard Rock Hotel, which operated 1995-2020 on Harmon Avenue east of the Strip. Richard Branson and a group of investors purchased the Hard Rock property in 2018. Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment was contracted as the licensed operator of the casino in September 2019.
Hard Rock was shut down in April 2020 to renovate and rebrand the property as Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Grand Opening is March 25, 2021
Mohegan Sun Casino was previously scheduled to open on January 15, 2021, however, that date was postponed due to COVID-19. A new and hopefully final date was announced in mid-February. The official date for Mohegan Sun Casino to open at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is March 25, 2021.

The Mohegans were also the first tribe to manage a casino in Atlantic City, the Resorts Casino Hotel. The Mohegan Tribe owns a worldwide casino management company, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE).
Mohegan Sun Casino Las Vegas will be located on the first floor of the Virgin Hotel, which is replacing the former Hard Rock Casino. The gaming floor will be 60,000 square feet and feature 650 slot machines and 50 table games. The Virgin Hotel will have 3 towers, 12 restaurants and bars and an entertainment center with capacity for 4,500 guests.

The Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will be the first Native American casino to operate in Las Vegas, Nevada when it opens January 15, 2021.
Last week the Nevada Gaming Commission formally approved the casino license which clears the way for the January opening. The Commission Chairman John Moran told the Mohegan officials:
'We are glad to have you here as the first Native tribe on the Strip corridor. You have an impressive string of firsts. The Mohegan tribal gaming has come a long way in its eight locations and nine with Las Vegas and Nevada.'
The Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will open on the former site of the Hard Rock Hotel and operate a 60,000-square-foot gaming floor featuring 650 slot machines, 50 table games and a sportsbook. A private gaming room on the 16th floor will be reserved for high rollers.

Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, owned by the Mohegan Tribe in Connecticut, will manage the casino operations at the new Virgin Hotel Las Vegas which opens in late 2020.
Virgin Hotels is buying the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Hard Rock will be closed in February and followed by 8-months of renovation and rebranding..
Virgin Hotels selected Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment to run its casino subject to approval by the Nevada Gaming Board. Mohegan Gaming currently manages six other casinos:
